Here is a standard balding myth that is ludicrous on many levels… wearing a hat excessively will lead to hair-loss as it will cut off oxygen to the scalp that the hair follicles need! This is so daft that it defies belief that some will prescribe to it.
First off…a hat does not create a vacuum where oxygen cannot reach the hair and secondly, if you shaved somebody’s head and poured polish on the scalp on a daily basis hair would grow. In brief wearing a hat does not cause hair-loss. These are common fables that have circulated together with a large number of other myths that are pulled out of the air to elucidate that which is mysterious to one who neither knows nor understands the tenet of genetics.
Also, alopecia is a genetic issue and not the result of common, everyday actions that yields pattern hair-loss. When it comes to separating fact from fiction, it’s important to look for a convincing source at the root of the info. Sadly, many folks don’t notice that the origins derive from traditional mythology so that the parables continue to the point they become fact.
It’s important to ignore many of the myths surrounding losing your hair and also realize there is a way to reverse the process. If you don’t want to go down the expensive Propecia route, check out this provillus review to see how one man combatted being bald…and won!

Out of desperation, I tried products. I tried everything I could get my hands on — hair-growth stimulating shampoos, hair-growing conditioners, dietary supplements - you name it, I’ve tried it. Heck, I even tried Aunt Thelma’s nasty little concoction which tasted bitter, smelled worse, and looked like it had been made of bat’s wings and other nasty little things. I tried almost everything that could possibly do anything for me. Read the rest of this entry »

For centuries, nuns and monks have proven that humans can perfectly get along without hair. But if you think hair isn’t important, try doing without.
Hair - no matter how thick, thin, light, dark, straight, long, short, or curly - is important not because it gives our heads a protective coat but because it does our fragile self-esteem a world of good. No, really. I’m serious about that. Nothing dashes a man’s confidence like baldness. Whether underway or completed, hair loss is a tragedy men - myself included - would give a month’s paycheck never to endure. Read the rest of this entry »
